My Story

I've been passionately pursuing Kathak since I was a child. It's a mesmerizing Indian classical dance form that was born out of the desire to tell stories. The word 'Kathak' comes from the word Katha, which means story. In ancient India, there were wandering bards called Kathakars, meaning storytellers, who would travel around and share tales of mythology, folktales, and stories for children, as well as spread stories of various religions through music, dance, and song. It's truly how this dance form has such a rich history and cultural significance!
